The Cathay Pacific Discovery website has released a list of 'underground' places to have a drink in Hong Kong, and at the top of their list is BRICKHOUSE. The mural I did for their dining room is the featured photograph, and a very nice photo too I think! Check out the link by clicking the image below:

This is a long-time coming! But it's finally here, a new 'The New Artists' episode presented by ANNIEWHO LIFESTYLE TV.
In this episode, I meet with lighting installation artist CY Wong over at Agnes B's gallery in Wan Chai. Be sure to check out this exhibition of his before it closes on the 1st of September! Click the image below to check out the episode!
Below are some screenshots from the Cafe Deco Group training videos I was the DP for, from last month.
In other news, I've had my second audition whilst being in London! And next week I'll be having a few meetings with some agents and managers that have taken an interest in me. Things are moving forward.
Also I might be working on a children's book in the near future, plus another actor's reel!
London has been amazing so far. Of course it has, it's only been 4 days!
Been applying for a lot of different castings, and I will get headshots printed tomorrow which I will send out to agents and casting directors.
In the mean time, I've been working on a new poster for this year's
HK Players' Christmas Panto - Little Red Riding Hood!
Last year I did their poster for Robin Hood, so they've been nice enough to use my services again!
Below is one of several rough rough sketches I did which they approved:
And now I've just finished the official version! It still needs to be approved, and will probably go through a few more changes before I add on the text, but here it is:
It's been really nice getting the tablet out and drawing again. It's been SO long since I last did a piece of art. Felt really good!
So I've made the move!
I've left Hong Kong for new adventures in London! So exciting!
Within three hours of being in my new city, I had my first audition for an indie feature film. Was nice, despite the fact I was completely jet-lagged and got lost getting there! So next weekend I'll be shooting my scenes. Fun!
Also, check out the new trailer for DREAM DEFENDERS below, where you hear my voice playing the super computer Zeus!
Will definitely miss Hong Kong, and I'm sure it will take a while for me to get adjusted to London. However, I'll still be working for clients in HK while I'm out here - writing scripts or doing design work. So I am still available for that if you need my services!!
My last dubbing gig in Hong Kong - 'The Magic Blade'
In other news, the music video I helped produce - 'FORGIVENESS' has been accepted into the Toronto Independent Film Festival! Sweet! Check out the video below:
So today was my last day of shooting for The New Artists.
First of all, I interviewed CY WONG, a brilliant, BRILLIANT lighting designer/installation artist. We spent a good deal of time speaking about the concepts of what the visual and performing arts do for an audience in different ways and how with his work the two concepts can be molded together.
Here I am with CY, below.
Now, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you guys going to see his exhibition 'Les Lumieres Imaginaires" over at Agnes B's Librarie Galerie. It's been my favorite installation in Hong Kong for this year, definitely. And spend at least half an hour in there, to experience the different music that the lights are programmed to. The show ends on the 1st of September. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
You can find Agnes B's Librarie Galerie over in Wan Chai, at 18 Wing Fung Street. Or you can click the image below for more details:

And then I headed to another area of Wan Chai to interview a pretty bizarre individual, ending my run as host for this awesome series.
Oh, and I know some of you have been wondering when the hell new episodes of the show will be up online to see. Well, it looks like things will be back on track in about two weeks! Will definitely keep you updated!
But the reason why I'm no longer doing The New Artists is because I'm finally packing my things and heading to London. For how long, who knows. Hong Kong has been kind to me the past few years, allowing me to explore different forms of art that have interested me. But it's time for a new challenge, a new perspective of seeing the world, and what a community of artists is like elsewhere. So thank you Annie Who Lifestyle team that have produced my show, and thank you Hong Kong for letting me work and express my art in different forms, and trusting and believing in me.
I'm off in two weeks today! Maybe see you one last time before I get on that plane!
I am NML. nomattsland.
