Yesterday I returned from a three day trip in Singapore. Was supposed to go see Foo Fighters in concert, but it was cancelled, due to Dave Grohl's throat not being 'healthy' enough. Instead, I took in the art museums, the sights, the food, and even paid a visit to Imaginary Friends Studios. That was awesome. Got to meet the people involved and sit around and talk about art in the entertainment industry, comic books, video games, you know... geek stuff. So the trip wasn't a complete disaster. Even managed to walk out of a casino without spending a cent! *pat on my back*
This week, it's all illustration stuff. Got two jobs for two different theatre companies, producing their posters. And in a couple weeks' time, I'll be performing a little puppetry show for kids at Canadian International School. Must prepare for that!
Tonight, I completed my skateboard art piece, that will be part of an exhibition which will be touring around China for the whole year. I decided to do something a little different. Instead of painting on the board, I made a pretty freaky sculpture come out of it.
Below is an image of it about a third of the way through it. I shan't post what it looks like completed until it's displayed for the public.
